Join the NJWEA Central Section

The New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF). Formed in 1928, WEF is a not-for-profit technical and educational organization with members from varied disciplines who work toward WEF’s vision of preservation and enhancement of the global water environment. The WEF network includes more than 34,000 individual members and 81 affiliated member associations representing water quality professionals throughout the world. All persons interested in joining NJWEA must first join WEF. These members will then be included in the NJWEA local section (North, Central, or South) geographically located in their area.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Membership will keep one current with the educational and professional offerings of the local, state and national waste-water field.

Opportunities to meet others in the waste-water field on an informal basis by attending our scheduled luncheons, seminars and social activities.

Educational opportunities presented at the ten monthly luncheons each year.

Educational opportunities presented at the periodic seminars which highlight areas of interest or necessity for employees and employers in the waste-water field.

Opportunities to obtain the required Total Contact Hours that licensed operators must obtain to retain their waste-water operator and collection system licenses. The New Jersey WEA maintains the database of Total Contact Hours for all New Jersey Licensed Operators.

Opportunities to socialize at the annual Fall Golf Outing and the annual Awards Dinner Dance.

Opportunities to contribute to the waste-water field beyond ones immediate job.

Opportunities to make others in the waste-water field aware of work being accomplished at other facilities.
